Two-dimensional unbiased walk
xₜ₊₁ = xₜ + ℓ cos φ, yₜ₊₁ = yₜ + ℓ sin φ
With independent φ and fixed step scale ℓ, the expected mean-square displacement is MSD(t) = tℓ². The finite sample wavers around that line.
