OBSERVATION CHAMBER / ACTIVE

Collective Synchronization Transition Field

Adjust coupling and intrinsic-frequency spread, then watch 64 autonomous oscillators move from disorder through partial synchrony toward collective order.

COLLECTIVE DYNAMICS

Many oscillators, one changing order

Start the field, then move coupling across the transition band.

WAITING

Each point is an autonomous oscillator. The arrow is the mean phase vector. The right-hand traces are model readings, not measurements of a person or a real network.

The field is ready. Choose a preset or start the model.

OBSERVATION CONTRACT

Collective dynamics, not evaluation

This field contains autonomous model oscillators only. The displayed order describes their simulated phases. It does not score a visitor, measure ability, or represent a clock network.

WHAT TO WATCH

Order grows through a transition band

  • Start with ASYNC, then raise K and watch r rise from a low baseline.
  • Near THRESHOLD, some oscillators gather while others continue to drift.
  • Choose CLUSTERS to reveal two phase groups from a bimodal frequency distribution.

MODEL NOTE

Kuramoto-type mean-field coupling

dθᵢ/dt = ωᵢ + K r sin(ψ − θᵢ)

r exp(iψ) = (1/N) Σᵢ exp(iθᵢ). For a Gaussian distribution, the ideal infinite-population estimate is Kc ≈ 1.60σ. Finite N produces a transition band, not a sharp step.

OBSERVATION POLICY

This field runs a browser-local Kuramoto-type model with 64 autonomous oscillators. Phases, frequency settings, calculations, and images are not uploaded. It does not measure people, ability, health, or rankings.
