This chamber is a visual approximation of nucleation, growth fronts, defects, and annealing. It is not a rigorous materials simulation.

OBSERVATION POINTS

Front, defect, order.

  • SEED and canvas clicks create new nucleation points.
  • COOL increases attachment while WARM slows the front.
  • IMPURITY bends growth and leaves defect marks; ANNEAL reduces visible defects.
  • Unlike DLA walkers or phase-state melting, this model focuses on ordered lattice growth and defect history.

N_t(x,y) = sum C_t(neighbor). P_attach = clamp(aN_t + b saturation + c anisotropy - d impurity - q temperature, 0, 1). Empty cells near crystal attach when random() < P_attach.

Observe ordered crystal cells growing from nucleation seeds, with active fronts, defects, and annealed regions.

  • Use SEED or canvas clicks to add nuclei, COOL or WARM to tune attachment, IMPURITY to add defects, and ANNEAL to relax them.
  • FRONT shows where the structure can grow next.
  • DEFECT shows how impurities leave memory inside the ordered lattice.
